This privacy policy applies to the application Wear File Manager (the "Application") for Android phones and Wear OS watches, created by anegin.
In short: the Application does not collect, store or share any personal data. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it does not have the permission to access the Internet. Your files stay on your devices and move only between your own phone and watch, when you ask for it.
We do not collect any information. The Application does not ask you to sign in, does not contain advertising, analytics or crash reporting tools, and does not send anything to us or to any server of ours: we do not run any. The Application does not request the Internet permission.
The Application asks only for the permissions it needs to work as a file manager:
MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) - to show, open, copy, move, rename, delete, compress and extract the files and folders in your device's storage, SD cards and USB drives. The Application reads or changes your files only when you ask for it.You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in your device's settings.
When you browse, copy, move or play files of your other device, the Application exchanges the file lists and the file contents between your phone and your watch through the Wear OS connection, provided by Google Play services. Data goes only to your own paired devices that have the Application installed.
Usually the devices are connected directly over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. When they are not, Google Play services may relay the data through Google's servers. This connection is operated by Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. We do not have access to it.
The Application stores on your devices only what it needs to work:
This data never leaves your devices, except through the backup described below. It is removed when you clear the Application's data or uninstall it.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include the Application's settings in it, so that they are restored on a new device. The backup is made by the Android system and stored by Google; caches and your files are not part of it. You can turn backup off in your device's settings.
When you use Share, "Open with" or open a file in another app, the Application gives that app read-only access to the chosen file only. When another app shares files with the Application ("Send to watch"), they are saved to the Download folder of your watch. What other apps do with your files is governed by their own privacy policies.
The Application uses Google Play services for the connection between your phone and your watch, and is distributed through Google Play. Their processing of data is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. The Application contains no other third-party services that collect data.
"Send feedback" opens your own mail app with a new message to us; the subject contains the Application's version. Nothing is sent unless you send the message yourself. We use your e-mail address and message only to reply to you, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
"Visit website" opens our website in your browser.
The Application is not directed at children. Since it collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.
Your files are handled only on your devices and over the Wear OS connection between them. The Application exchanges data only with the same Application on your paired devices, signed with the same key, and plays only files it was asked to play by itself.
You can revoke the Application's permissions, clear its data or uninstall it at any time. As we hold no data about you, there is nothing to request or delete from us, except the e-mails you sent us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change affects how the Application handles data, the Application's release notes will mention it.
